Extra wound single coil pickup loaded with flat hand-leveled Alnico 2 pole pieces that provides the warm tone with great sustain characteristic of this type of models, but with the addition of greater attack and aggressiveness. You'll hear a sweet, bell-like clean tone appear along with distortions produced from the amplifier's gain rather than the pickup itself. Compared to the Cool (DS12), this model with increased output provides enough mids to cut better through the mix with greater presence and a robust sound. The middle pickup is RWRP, reverse wind reverse polarity, for noise cancellation in the in-between 2 and 4 positions. Proudly made in Florida-BA, this pickup is hand built in our workshop and wax potted for squeal free operation.
